How do we book a session?

This one is easy! Click here, and fill out the contact page to join my waitlist for sessions from June 2023 onwards. Waitlist clients will be advised a month prior to my return to be the first to book dates I have available to secure a session before I open them to the public. A deposit of $150.00 is required to secure your chosen date, until that deposit is received the date is still considered available.

Where and when will we have our session?

I really enjoy shooting outdoors in a natural setting, and have a few locations I can suggest to you depending on what type of session you would like. If there is a spot that you love, or is special to your family, I would be more than happy to discuss this as an option as well. I like to shoot when the sun is low, which is generally late afternoon around an hour before sunset or early in the morning, to get that golden glow.

Indoor sessions are currently by request only due to COVID-19. The time for these will be when the natural light in your home is best, which is generally mid morning to early afternoon.

What do we wear?

Something that you feel amazing and comfortable in! I recommend complimentary colour tones, and even incorporating different textures in your outfits. Think knitwear, floaty skirts/dresses, and fabrics such as linen and cord. I want you to look timeless and suggest to avoid large logos, tracksuits, activewear, and clashing patterns. If you are unsure I am happy to review your choices and also offer some suggestions before our shoot. I do send a style guide and I have started to establish a client wardrobe with options for Mum as well as some baby and kids clothes. I like to think of this as a nice outing for the family and an excuse to get dressed up! FAQ

What happens if it's bad weather?

If the forecast for your date is predicted to be extremely windy, raining, or over 38 degrees, I will advise the day before the session to postpone to another date.

When would a session be rescheduled?

Apart from bad weather, if one of your family members is sick, or I am sick, I would ask that we reschedule. Please advise 24 hours prior if possible and I will do the same.

How many people can be in the session?

My prices are for your immediate family (ie couples or parents and children) for all packages except Our Generations. Our Generations is an extended family session and allows up to 10 people (more by request).

Can we bring our pet to your other sessions?

Absolutely! I am more than happy to have your pet come on an adventure with us. Please advise this when booking.

What if I'm worried about my children's behaviour?

I completely understand if you're worried that your children don't want to participate! I will do my best to make them comfortable, and sing, jump around, and make funny faces with them to see if we can get some smiles. I let them guide the session to an extent and often find if we just let them explore and be kids, we still capture really beautiful candid photographs. If they are really unsettled on the day we can discuss potential rescheduling another mini session at that time for a small fee.

When will we receive our photos?

After your session, your images will be edited and sent to you via the online gallery within four weeks from your session date. I will also have a sneak peek available to you within 72 hours which I will share on social media with your consent.

Can we share the images from our gallery on social media?

Of course! I love to see your images shared for your friends and family to see, it is the biggest compliment. I also ask, if you do, to please credit me using my Instagram handle or Facebook page name when you first share them.

What about COVID-19?

I have completed the SA Goverment COVID-19 Awareness Training course. I also always demonstrate safe hand hygiene and will sanitise before and after each shoot, plus maintain 1.5 metre distance from you. Any props or rugs used will be washed before and after your session. I simply ask for you to advise if you feel unwell so we can rescheule to a date that works for both of us quickly. I of course will do the same and will do my absolute best to protect my family and yours.
